Baptisms
The Rite of Baptism
God the Father, through His Son, the Virgin Mary’s child, has brought joy to all Christian mothers, as they see the hope of eternal life shine on their children
The Right of Baptism
Often parents who bring their children to be baptised at St Etheldreda’s were themselves married here. There is something thrilling and profoundly meaningful about having your child baptised on the spot where you exchanged your vows.
Baptisms take place at 12.30 p.m. on Sundays only. To have your child baptised at St Etheldreda’s you will need to put in a request sufficiently in advance to allow time to meet with the priest and prepare for the baptism.
